Review: Lancôme's Cushion Blush Subtil

You must have realized by now the latest craze in the beauty industry: cushion make up! On my last post I reviewed a cushion foundation and today I want to tell you about the new cushion blushes from Lancôme I've been using lately.

The cushion technology comes from Korea and many make up houses have adopted the trend recently.
It's nothing more than a highly pigmented liquid blush. It comes saturated in a sponge placed inside a double lid compact. You can dab your fingers or a little sponge to apply and modulate the intensity.

The Cushion Blush Subtil from Lancôme feels like a luxury product every time I open it. The packaging, the vibrant color inside, and the glowy finish it gives make me feel sophisticated when I use it in the morning. In all honesty, I find it an expensive product at £28 each, so I consider it a little treat and enjoy the luxe factor each time.

It is available in six shades which Lisa Eldridge, Lancôme´s Creative Director, has helped design.

  • 22 Rose Givree
  • 02 Rose Lemonade
  • 24 Sparkling Framboise
  • 25 Sorbet Grenadine
  • 31 Splash Orange
  • 32 Splash Corail

I have used Sparkling Framboise and Splash Corail.

One thing that has blown me away is the staying power of these blushes. I think it has to do with the consistency of the formula. As I use a liquid foundation, a liquid concealer and a liquid illuminator, it only makes sense that this liquid blush will integrate perfectly with the rest of my make up and last for hours!

The formula has a dewy effect and gives a radiant finish. I´m always cautious about how much product I take as it is very pigmented. It is also smooth and quite easy to blend. A little, goes a long way.

All in all, I´m loving Lancôme´s take on air cushion technology and I love using this blush!
It costs £28 and you can get it here

Have you tried these products? What do you think about the cushion trend?
